Philosophy

A Focused and Integrated Approach
Focus is essential to successful marketing. ROI offers an objective and experienced approach to defining the unique aspects of your company's products and services. Our first step is to uncover the true "sweet spot" within your marketplace - the people who have the strongest need for the products you offer. Proper positioning comes directly from that need, and leads us to the messages that will resonate within that marketspace.

Armed with this information, ROI then sets out to deliver a fully integrated strategy to help your company stake its place in the minds of your prospects. In an over-crowded, over-communicated world, impact is imperative. Every action taken must work with all other actions in order to count. And so we focus on building momentum. At ROI, ours is a holistic approach, building a "Wall of Sound" as we push into a given market, delivering the maximum thrust from all your marketing efforts. This requires a high degree of coordination and collaboration, and it's this branding element that separates ROI Marketing Management from most other marketing services.

Building the Plan
Truly successful marketing plans pay very close attention to a company's particular stage of growth. No sense generating lots of demand when a company is not in position to properly respond to that demand. The greatest sin in marketing is to spend lots of money, generate a ton of inquiries and then not have the sales infrastructure to respond in kind. This is why ROI uses a "phased approach" to launch products into the market, building a plan that fits within budget constraints and a company's ability to handle increased demand. This approach begins at the very top and works its way down to those tough, but highly achievable objectives and goals, which drive any integrated marketing plan.

What do our clients want to achieve? The #1 goal is typically focused on revenue. If a sales history already exists, there is a simple mathematical formula we like to employ to help our clients understand the marketing scope of what's required to meet their revenue goals. Beyond revenue, there can be even more important things to accomplish.

  • We want to achieve the #1 name recognition within a specific category.
  • We want to be considered as one of the top three players in a given category.
  • We need to always be included in all Requests For Proposal for products/services like ours.
  • We want high visibility within the financial and business community.
  • We need to build strong awareness among the reseller community.
  • We want to better support our channels and make them more productive.
  • We want to drive a certain level of traffic to our Web site.

These are just some of the goals and objectives that our clients set. And with any number of these in hand, a detailed strategic marketing plan can be created. Plans built by ROI include company/product positioning statements, specific marketing goals and objectives, target markets and prospect profiles, key messages, and specific strategies with detailed marketing tactics for each strategy.
